Fun fact: only members of a Town can use Ender Pearls within their Town's borders. Due to this, the Loka playerbase designed a security measure called a Pearl Gate. Essentially, an area is put behind a gate, and this gate is impossible to get through without using an Ender Pearl. Below is an example of such a gate.
The gap is small enough that players can't fit through, but an Ender Pearl could be thrown through! Since only Town members can use pearls within their Town, this makes whatever lies behind the gate impossible for outsiders to get into. Wonderful!
One issue with many Pearl Gate designs is that items are often able to be thrown through the gap. In certain scenarios, this could allow raiders to throw items from inside the Town to their buddy waiting outside. Luckily, an uncommon design is able to prevent this from happening. We present the Gapless Pearl Gate!

Because glass blocks are transparent, players are able to actually stand inside them without suffocating. With some educated pearl aiming, we can get into and through solid glass blocks. It can be a little tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it with time!
